About South Hedland

The South Hedland New Living Program is a substantial, integrated series of urban renewal projects designed to transform the South Hedland Community into a sustainably more pleasant, more functional, better resourced, safer and happier place in which to live.

AWARDS



The South Hedland New Living Program has won the UDIA Judges’ Awards for the second year running. Four Department of Housing projects were recognised for excellence in the 2011 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Western Australia’s Awards for Excellence held on Saturday.
 
The winning projects were Malvern Springs in Ellenbrook in the Affordable Development category, Bethanie Peel Community Housing in the Seniors Living category, Stella Orion Apartments in Success in the Medium Density Development category and for the Rising Star Award, and South Hedland New Living which won the Judges’ Awards.
